Love of Indigo Color

This project was carried out in spring 2011, during my studies at the Higher School of Graphic Arts and Architecture in Paris. The set of works was made with Photoshop. I combined my own watercolors abstract forms and my photos of skies.

The nine basic types of clouds (Nimbostratus, Cumulus, Cumulonimbus, Stratocumulus, Altostratus, Altocumulus, Cirrostratus, Cirrocumulus, Cirrus) symbolized nine properties of love (Patience, Mercy, Joy, Truth, Trust, Hope, Fortitude, Harmony and Eternity). The radius of the sign is equal to the height at which the particular cloud type is formed, going from the bottom layers to the top: from Patience to Eternity, from Nimbostratus to Cirrus. When the nine signs are connected, superimposed one on another like tracing papers with a single central point, the absolute genuine whole is revealed – Sign Nr.10, which is LOVE, Love of Indigo Color.
